Geoff Allnutt is passionate about watchmaking, “the industry needs highly skilled watchmakers to maintain the integrity of these wonderful objects and unless we continue to pass on our amazing source of knowledge, this time honoured craft will disappear. It taken 10 years to assemble the current team, all members of the British Horological Institute, two of whom also trained at WOSTEP in Switzerland. It is essential that a new generation of horologists are trained to continue this time honoured profession.
Following the amazing success of his first apprentice, Jacob Russell FBHI who qualified in 2016, Geoff continued the tradition. Patrick Woodward, 26, and after 4 years’ apprenticeship, qualified as a Fellow of the British Horological Institute in 2022. He also won the Bronze Medal for the Best Apprentice Watchmaker in Britain.
Our highly qualified and experienced team of watchmakers carry out the repairs and restoration of all our vintage wristwatches and antique pocket watches in our workshop.
